I was lucky enough to be able to see this fantastic show on tuesday. It was so moving. It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea as it was plotless, but I loved it all the same. The video shows all the best bits really, but what choice do I have. The tour ended yesterday so you guys can't see it anyway :(. The death scene was fantastic, and so was the floaty thing on a swing. and the snowstorm... and the balls. You'll see what I mean. Being there was 100x better. I officially LOVE the clown. Our one had more hair (see picture above), but the original one (mr. Slava hehehhe) is in this vid. Enjoy.
I just thought I would post this while I'm at it... I'm really looking forward to it but it looks shit. Maybe it will be like the book - shit yet amazing. hahahaha. Enjoy it's soooo corny but good too...
Has to be one of the greatest songs of all time, and one I was brought up with. Mum would play it on full blast and I would run around the garden. I would always ask her to repeat that one. I really do like Cyndi she seems like my type of singer - wacky and 80s through to now so seems good. I hope it doesn't go further than liking as I am finding it hard to control my obsessive torrents as it is and another one will not help. I don't think it will be like that though, I just like her. Tempted to sing this song in the middle of a shopping mall. Haha. Gotta love this song and video. Sorry about quality, but one with good quality is out of sync and is SO frustrating to watch. Enjoy dudes, and I feel a biiiiig KB post comin up! xxx
Ok right I spent, quite sadly, about 45 minutes translating Goldfrapp's "Monster Love" into french, which I randomly thought was a really good idea because while I was using the french dictionary I saw one of the lyrics there. I think I've done an OK job and I've tried to get the rhythm to fit but in some places... just no. Here goes... It is my baby so please love it too. I am quite proud and I think it is beautiful in French. I might sing it... or record it... OMG and send it to them!!!! OMG... like they'd care I can just see the pair of them laughing their heads off. Sigh. Oh well. I do love it. I'm not entirely sure is a few parts are entirely correct with meaning or grammatically. But impressively I changed some phrases to be different to fit the rhythm eg "Tu obtiens seulement une chance dans la ville de tresse" which was 13 beats to fit to the 10 beats as: "Tu n’obtiens qu’une chance dans la ville de tresse". I think tresse is wrong as it seems to translated as braid, but it's supposed to be tinsel! Also I'm having huge problems with encore meaning still in some situations when it's always again here... always!!! and autour meaning around... I'm not sure. And Rapporter... don't even go there. I'm trying to say "bringing us back again"... sheesh thats impossible. And ... just the whole thing. Love it. I might translate more songs. Goldfrapp's style is really fun to translate. KBs prob would be too. I should try. Enjoy.
I always liked Cyndi Lauper but I just discovered this song and thought "wow"! It's so Kate bush meets ... I dunno... 80s!!! I love the style and it's just so coolies. I also like the Ane Brun version of the song which was used in the Sky+ HD advert. Phil Collins one is quite good too, but I like this one best. I absolutely LOVE the bit when she kisses the dude with the colour change. If I ever make a video I am soooo referencing that as it is so awesome. You know Cyndi as she did "time after time" and "girls just wanna have fun". I really do like her, I think I'll look into her as I think I would like her a lot, but never as much as KB or goldfrapp, but I think I would like her. Girls just want to have fun is just part of me it's one of those songs I grew up with running around the garden with it on full blast (I used to do that hahahaha). Anyways. Love love. Ipod time so seeyas!
